I have been a student of Angela’s for the past four years, and I highly recommend her classes. Her teaching goes beyond the physical practice, it provides a holistic experience that nourishes both the body and mind. Thanks to her guidance I have maintained excellent physical health and found a sense of balance and calm in my life. Her classes are thoughtfully structured – challenging yet accessible for all levels. She always provides clear instructions and adjustments to ensure everyone feels supported. What I appreciate most is her ability to create a warm and welcoming environment that encourages growth and mindfulness.
KAVERI YOGA- THE UNION OF BODY MIND AND HEART
Angela Rogers grew up with a yogic father and woke up to the rhythm of his morning practice—a subtle influence that would shape her life’s path.
Her formal yoga journey began in 2000 with Iyengar classes, which she attended until 2005. After a brief setback due to injury, Angela returned to yoga in 2009, reigniting her passion.
DISCOVERING YOGA’S DEPTH IN INDIA
In 2013, at the age of 53, Angela completed her 200-hour Ashtanga and Hatha training at Himalaya Yoga Valley in India. This experience opened her eyes to yoga’s vast dimensions, from asanas and Ayurveda to pranayama, philosophy, and the Eight Limbs of Yoga.
She began teaching just one week after completing her first certification.
In 2015, Angela returned to complete her 500-hour teacher training, specializing in Yoga for Menopause. This pivotal moment fueled her desire to explore more aspects of yoga, including Yin Yoga.
THE YIN YOGA PATH
Angela’s journey with Yin Yoga started with an 80-hour training under Sarah Powers in 2016. She later found her primary mentor, Jo Phee, whose teachings emphasized skeletal variation and structural awareness. Angela completed multiple foundational modules with Jo, totaling over 300 hours of training:
- 2017: Myofascial Release & Spine Anatomy (65 hours)
- 2017: Chinese Medicine & Hip Anatomy (65 hours)
- 2018: Yin-Yang Flow & Shoulder Anatomy (65 hours)
- 2019: Acupressure & Hip Anatomy (65 hours)
- 2019: Advanced Human Cadaver Fascial Dissection (30 hours)
- 2022: Qigong & Lower Leg/Arm Anatomy (65 hours)
EXPLORING AERIAL YOGA
In 2017, Angela discovered Aerial Yoga, completing three teacher training certifications:
- 2017: Ulu Yoga (50 hours)
- 2018: Fly High Yoga (50 hours)
- 2019: Fly High Yoga (50 hours)
She even designed her own aerial yoga strap, bringing creativity, fun, and support to her students’ practice.
YOGA THERAPY
In 2023, Angela embarked on a 900-hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training Course (TTC), which has beautifully connected the dots between her previous training experiences. This journey has deepened her understanding of Ayurveda, the impact of hypermobility on the body, and effective strategies for supporting individuals with hip and knee replacements. Her focus is on enhancing movement patterns and reducing pain to help people lead healthier, more comfortable lives.
